I produced this animation for my Rhode Island School of Design "Continuing Education" online class in summer of 2020. In this animation, I was asked to illustrate a local issue in my area using charcoal and led. I used William Kentridge's animation,"erase and redraw" techniques as an inspiration for this piece. (Storyboard and local issue explanation below)
The narrative of this animation is about a young boy who is diagnosed with diabetes at a young age and how he struggles to raise and donate money to other children in need, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The image above is my storyboard for the animation. This animation was hand drawn with charcoal and was pieced together by Adobe Premiere + "Stop motion" IOS application.
